thanks for checkin it out bro! just a bit o fun really! acoustics are fine- I got two OK monitors but TBH mastering is not my forte.

none of my stuff is mastered- I eq it a bit, and put a dual band compression on the whole track- thats all I really know what to do, even this is pretty rudimentary.this stuff sounds way better whn its played at 24 bit- this has been cut down by sound cloud alot.

what is that rad program u use to master stuff?

Nice tune!

Getting an idea for a tune down and then persisting with it to completion is the hardest thing imo, so bigups for that too :)

i am yet to listen because i dont spend much time on the computer at home n work internet ruins musica stream - but talkin about mastering n related programs...

mastering takes fkn time - knowledge - training - experience - equipment - if you dont have all of those, dont be stressin about the sound quality of your shit - because anyone with the equipment n knowledge can master that shit for you - for cheap

but program wise - try and find a copy of the 'Waves bundle' - haz awesome compressors - equalizers - other dynamic shit - and a nice reverb - haz a nice limiter - all i do for master is get the levels n EQ as good as i can - then on the master channel - i slap a 6band Eq on - do its thang - then put a low band eq on, cutting out anything lower than 32hz - a broadband Eq, roll off the 17Khz and above - then to finish it off and smash the shit out of it - a Waves L2 limiter - its easier than it sounds

Cheers dudes.
anfo- awesome advice, appreciate it!

you wont like this tune anyway bro- way too happy :cheeky:

Im all about just gettin ideas out at the moment- not too worried about final results. its good to get something out there and get feedback tho.

BTW thanks to dred for hooking me up with some software- really got me started. he came and picked me from work wehn i had a broken foot and everything- massive!

Roughly how long did it take you to finish that tune?

I'll have a guess- coz i work on 3-4 tunes at once- kinda in batches, or generations.

about a weekend to get the rough outline down- all the beats, basslines- then mucking around with the sequencer for I dunno about an hour a day for a week, then i find samples and put them in- takes about a day. then i eq it and try to make the levels as good as i can and play it differnt systems- this usually takes a week of adjusting levels.

So about 3 weeks but Im not working on it full time- and I might have made a couple more in that time too. i couldnt do faster though- you need some time to digest it, make sure it flows.

1 tune at a time is hard enough as it is, let alone 3 or 4 lol!
